I've always loved DIY.. When I was 14-15 I used to look up new ones all the time., home, garden, clothes, anything I could find would do. I had a DIY fetish back then.
Anyway today I found this site which has cuuute fashion DIYs, I thought I'd share the two I liked most with you girls.. And even if the execution is not very good (if you don't get along well with handcrafts like me) and the results are not flattering, it's fun and your mum will be thrilled, trust me ;p
Yo Yo Ma Headband!
Headbands are love ♥ I have countless headbands and I still can't get enough of them. They always add a beautiful touch to your outfit. Wear a plain outfit with a huge flowery, crystal-studded, or any detailed headband and you're set to go! But never wear them when you have a bad hair day, they're supposed to accentuate your perfectly done hair, not hide it ;)

What you’ll need:
- An old cotton mix t-shirt, something with a bit of stretch - or, for a more colorful version, try using several different bright tees.
- Sewing Needle
- Spool of thread
- Scissors, fabric shears, or rotary cutter: whatever you have laying around
How to:
Step one: Cut one long strip of fabric off bottom of t-shirt, a few inches from hem. Width depends on personal preference of thickness for headband. Or, simply whip out a cotton/ jersey headband, already pre-made!
Step two: Cut 5 circles, each about 4 inches in diameter, out of remaining t-shirt material. Experimentation with different sized circles is a must!

Step three: Fold about ¼-inch of each circle’s edge over, and stitch around the entire circumference. Leave a bit of thread at the end, and… 1, 2, 3 Pull! An instant fabric rosette!

Step four: After you've made all your little rosettes, simply stitch them in a mound on the side of the headband, or wherever you please!

Step five: You have a few choices here - you can either mark off where the headband part needs to be cut and stitched together to fit around your head, or, you could simply decide that you'll always just tie it in place, or pin it to size.
taa daaa!
I'd make more and bigger rosettes of different colors and textures. I'm thinking vintage.
Bangles, bangles, banglessss!
Another accessory that I luuuurve. I usually don't wear bracelets, just bangles. And making customized bangles is a thing I hadn't thought about before..

You'll need:
- Plastic bangle bracelets in a solid color (we found ours at Forever 21).
- Two Sharpie paint pens, oil-based. One should be medium tipped and one should be fine tipped.
- Clear nail polish.
- A soft pencil.
How to:
Step one: Choose the song lyric/ movie quote/ designer initials you want on the bangle. With your pencil, lightly write the lyric onto the bracelet for spacing. Adjust until the whole quote fits perfectly.
Step two: Shake your Sharpie pens until the paint is free flowing. Write your script around the bangle, being careful not to smudge.
Step three: Wait five minutes for the paint to dry. Coat the script in clear nail polish to protect it from chipping.

Aren't these cool? I think I'll make one with my name on it. It makes a perfect gift also :D
