One more pointless post..

Today I needed to do grocery shopping because we were throwing a mini sha3baneya with my cousins.. so I went with Mama, my cousin, and brother. We were little late and if we had made it to any big supermarket it'd be closed for 3esha prayer and we didn't want to wait for an hour or so, so eventually we decided to go to the nearest "supermarket"..
Oh boy was that the most hilarious 30 minutes!! That supermarket or grocery's or whatever it is really called was super dusty, dark, and grey!! It looked like it belonged to the early 80's and it was gonna collapse any minute..
I got lost twice, even though it was too small to get lost in.. I panicked and called Mama and the next thing I knew my 180cm tall cousin was by my side bodyguarding me (I'm really jealous, he's 3 years younger than me and I look like a dwarf next to him!). I went to get chicken breasts, but apparently they don't keep the good stuff out for everyone to see, you have to pre-order them from the Indian guy who goes and gets them from the storage. They had yellow Kinder, the pack is actually yellow, not white. And the very first generation of telephones, headphones, and fans.. The surveillance cams (only God knows why they had ones in the first place) were placed toward the WALLS!
The three of us were walking behind Mama, each one would drop a comment and all of us would laugh, my brother kept mumbling "est'3fer allah bss.. uff aish jabnaa hena" and my cousin would point to the cams and laugh.. and then we walked to the cashier, and surprise, surprise, they didn't have a barcode scanner.. the Indian guy #1 picks each item out of our shopping cart, says the price out loud, and the Indian guy #2 sitting at the cashier enters the numbers and calculates the total.. "Setta.. Kamsa.. Talata.. Arba2 Ta2ash.. Eshreen.. Kamsa.." that's when we all burst out laughing till tears!
On the way back home, we were still remembering funny stuff and laughing.. The egg tray was sitting on my lap, not even covered with anything, because the guy there claimed that "baiz mafi rakkab kees"..
The grocery's has the name of our family, sheesh like it isn't enough already that we are known to be cheap :p couldn't the owner do some maintenance works? Repaint, get a barcode scanner, fix the broken lights, dust the shelves and wipe the goddamn floor?

On a brighter, non-dusty note,
It's finally Ramadan.. I mean not for another 19 hours, but I've missssed it!
Food constitues a good percentage of "it" :p
And like every year, I'll try to upgrade the religious side of me, and keep it that way.. Insha'allah I'll do it properly this year.. Allah yehdy eljamee3 o kul 3am o entu b5air :D
